Ibragimova

Writer/Director

Elvira Ibragimova is an LA-based writer and director. Elvira is a half Jewish, half Muslim refugee hailing from sunny, Soviet-era Uzbekistan. At the age of ten she and her family landed in Brooklyn and Elvira settled into the business of being a *good* immigrant. But after two decades and an initial, mom-pleasing career in architecture, she turned to filmmaking.

She studied comedy and directing at Second City Film School. Her short DINGUS WISHES, placed in multiple film festivals and helped her secure the Viacom Viewfinder Directing Fellowship. Since completing the program, she's directed multiple episodes of JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!, DANGER FORCE and FAIRLY ODDPARENTS. But if this all goes bust, she'll always have that one building she designed for the Golden State Warriors.

Ott

Director of Photography

Sam is a self-taught filmmaker hailing from a small cattle farm in the heart of Missouri. He finds inspiration from places of solitude, loves to explore themes of isolation and longs for stories that feel nostalgic. His first narrative feature film as cinematographer, IN THE WAKE OF IRE, won Best Cinematography at the Chain NYC Film Festival in 2018. His documentary short, IT WAS GOOD TALKING TO YOU, won best documentary short at DOC LA in 2020 and his commercial work for Ralph Lauren was awarded a Vimeo Staff Pick. WE'RE DOING GOOD is written and directed by his creative and life partner, Elvira. The series is based on their relationship and was a fun but very meta shooting experience.
